Training for business community groups on pig and chicken raising
With funding support from the Ministry of Environment (MOE) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), ACTIS provides training on pig raising, chicken raising, and vegetable growing to members of producer groups in five targeted Community Protected Areas (CPA).
It is to recall that, at the begining of the year 2016, 9 community business groups established with support from ACTIS. Those business groups aim to supply chickens, vegtables, and pigs to markets in order to increase their income and alternative livelihood options for their families.
In the first week of September 2016, the training is providing for the people living in Chuop Tasok Community Protected Area (CPA), one of the five selected CPA of the project "Enhancing Climate Change Resilience of Rural Communities living in Protected Areas in Cambodia", then the trainings will also be provided to other CPAs in Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, and Mondulkiri Provinces from September 2016 to end of 2017.
