Training for ActionAid’s partners on business plan development
May – June 2016: ACTIS provided training services to five ActionAid’s partners on community enterprise and business plan development, CHADA and MPC organizations in Koh Kong Province, SAMAKY and CWDCC in Kampot Province, and RFCD in Pursat Province. The objective was to train selected farmers on marketing and business skills. The training focused on how to market their products, enterprise management and business plan development.
At least, ten training sessions organized. 202 participants attemded the training consisted of fisherfolks, members and management committees of agricultural cooperatives, and local authorities attended the training. Approximately 60% of the total participants were women.
By the end of the training, the participants have significantly improved their understanding and technical skills, especially the idea of doing collective business. The participants selected specific products (e.g. shrimp, crabs, chicken, etc.) for the collective business. The business plans prepared for the business groups to implement their collective business.
